In today’s world almost everyone is transmitting their data over untrusted public network. The data exchanged in public networks are vulnerable to the variety of attacks. Hence, there is a need of protecting the data. There are various standard techniques are available in the area of cryptography to provide the security to the data being exchanged. But more important here is, how fast the cryptographic algorithms processes and how secure against the attacks. Hence, this book proposed mathematical models that could offer speedup in execution of the standard cipher systems as well as provides security to the data. This book contains two types of mathematical models, the first type of the mathematical models is to speeding up the logical (bitwise XOR) operations. Whereas the second type of mathematical models are to enhance the time complexity of the arithmetic operations by parallel operations using the Residue Number System.
